We are looking for a Lead Developer or engineer to join our team permanently. We have
offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Canberra and can consider people in any of those
locations
About the Role :
Working on the Magento 2 upgrade (payment gateway) the successful candidate will be responsible for;
Design and develop new application features using best practice coding standards and techniques?
Collaborate with other technical resources and business stakeholders in the planning, estimation and delivery of valuable software?
Write and maintain unit tests and implement other improvements to our quality assurance practices?
Support and mentor junior technical resources?
Assess new technologies and integration partners?
Embrace DevOps philosophies by working closely with other technical resources to enhance our platform capabilities and drive process improvements to our delivery pipeline?
Support production releases through implementation of monitoring and alerting, knowledge sharing and maintaining design and operational handover documents?
About You:
At least 5 year’s experience in a Magento development role working on high-volume, transactional websites.
Bachelor Degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Technology or relevant field
Excellent understanding of Agile software development methodologies and processes. You must be comfortable splitting your work into stories that can be tested and delivered individually.
Excellent understanding of continuous integration practices
Good collaboration and communications skills. You will be talking with your whole team constantly.
Be open, committed, motivated, and friendly
Experience and familiarity with our application, tech stack (PHP, Linux, MySQL, Javascript) and tools
Magento 1 and 2
Hands on experience delivering software using modern practices - know when to DRY, know when to WET, know when to refactor and know how to do the above using OOP, DI, and SDKs
