ABOUT IMCIllawarra Metallurgical Coal (IMC) produces premium-quality, hard coking coal for steelmaking, which is transported within Australia and around the world. We operate two underground metallurgical coal mines, two preparation plants and a logistics chain.ABOUT UNDERGROUND COAL SURVEYINGSurveying in an underground coal mine involves the use of a surveying total station to accurately measure angles and distances. These measurements are then used to calculate coordinates as part of a surveying network used to provide guidance and direction for mining.
