We are seeking a reliable and experienced person to join our team as the Manager of our Coffee Shop and Rose Room Gift Shop within the grounds of our award-winning attraction, Cockington Green Gardens.
This position requires a high standard of customer relations and strong leadership skills to manage our Coffee Shop and Rose Room Gift Shop. Additionally, this public facing role requires that the successful applicant is confident, polite and possesses strong public relations skills.
Experience in managing the daily operations of a café and leading a small team of staff is essential. Retail experience would be an advantage. This is an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of this long-standing and successful family tourism business.
The role can either be full-time or part-time (Mon-Fri) with hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. It is however required that the successful applicant work at least one weekend per month.
As a member of a team in the tourism business, the successful applicant must be available for all peak holiday periods such as school holidays, public holidays, and through the Floriade Festival period (September/October).
Major duties will include:
- Supervision of staff, shifts and duties
- Daily operations of the Rose Room including opening and closing
- Processing orders and reconciling accounts
- Senior management liaison
- Customer service and visitor engagement
- General café and retail duties
To be considered for this position, it is essential that qualifications are held or obtained in Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and Food Supervisor Handling. First aid qualifications will also be required, with training provided if not already qualified.
