About Us
Waypoints Café is located within the Trails & Visitor Centre in Dwellingup, Australia’s Top Tiny Tourism Town awarded in 2023. We are a small family business who have been operating within the tourism sector of Dwellingup for almost 30 years as ‘Dwellingup Adventures’. We have recently temporarily closed our Cafe doors due to an overnight fire causing extensive internal damage throughout. With a view to reopen June 2024 we will require a Cafe Manager to assist with starting again, including the recruiting of a team of kitchen staff, baristas and all roles in between.
About The Position (Café Manager)
We are seeking someone who will be highly motivated and driven to manage the day-to-day operations of our Cafe, including responsibilities as follows;
- manage a team of 8-12 employees, maintaining a high staff morale,
- lead by example and with professionalism at all times,
- complete weekly staff rosters and maintain accurate shift reporting,
- work closely with the kitchen staff to manage the menu and weekly specials, maintain stock control and order supplies,
- maintain a consistent high standard of food and drinks being served,
- ensure a full and attractive display cabinet with new and rotating sweets and treats,
- adhere to all food safety standards,
- assist with social media postings,
- strive to meet financial budgets and internal KPI’s.
About You
Essential;
- a minimum of two years’ experience in a management or leadership role within the hospitality industry,
- a vibrant, welcoming and friendly vibe,
- a strong work ethic and proactive attitude,
- exceptional organization and time management skills,
- work well under pressure,
- good communication skills and the ability to lead,
- customer service orientated and provide customers with an outstanding experience,
- confident in the use of a POS system,
- be flexible and able to work some weekends, public holidays and school holidays,
- have a hard-working, can-do attitude and will go the extra mile for the good of the team.
Advantageous;
- a minimum of two years’ experience working in a fast-paced kitchen,
- show an interest in the outdoors and have a knowledge or be willing to learn about the Dwellingup Trails.
