CREDIT CONTROLLER
About the Role:
As part of the Finance Team, the Credit Controller will maintain the financial health of the company by managing credit risk and optimising cash flow and provide support to the finance and sales teams as required.

What will you be doing:
- Send out, consider and approve credit account, credit card authority and direct debit applications within authority and risk levels.
- Set up new accounts in our Accounting Software
- Respond to referee report requests on our debtors.
- Process receipts on customer accounts and update bank reconciliation to ensure financial records accurately reflect the status of customer accounts.
- Reconcile internal accounts.
- Process phone credit card payments on BPOINT as required.
- Monitor the aging of debtors and take action to collect debts outside our trading terms and conditions.
- Contact customers to follow up on overdue payment.
- Provide relevant data to support payment plans as required.
- Prepare management reports on aging, collections activity and bad debts.
- Process refunds from approved claims for Customer Service.
- Advising customer service on the account status of specific clients in relation to whether to send freight.
- Liaise with Sales and Customer Service on account issues.
- Proven experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or related financial roles.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS office, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge of accounting principles.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing credit and collections is desirable.
