Nurse Consultant in
CAMHS Consultation and Liaison Service.As a
Nurse Consultant, you will work at the interface of acute and chronic illness, injury and disability and mental health, providing direct expert care for an individual or group of clients and clinical leadership to multidisciplinary staff within hospital settings.The
Nurse Consultant has extensive experience and understanding of the particular requirements of the hospital context and its impact on direct patient care and the provision of inpatient and outpatient consultation/liaison and therapeutic interventions, in a Statewide service. Will provide the pivotal leadership and co-ordination of patient/client care delivery in a defined ward/unit/service/program to achieve continuity and quality of patient/client care and outcomes and efficient patient/client flow.
About YouShould have Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate, enrolled in an approved Mental Health course or holds a qualification in mental health practice. Registered Nurse with at least 3 years post registration experience.Are you a team player and an exceptional communicator who can follow appropriate evidence based practice standards to ensure exceptional patient care? You should demonstrate ability in the leadership role, leading and promoting consumer engagement initiatives.Are you ready to use all of your skills, abilities, knowledge and experience in delivering proficient and comprehensive mental health nursing assessment to children, young people and their families experiencing complex, acute or chronic mental illness/ trauma or a wide range of emotional and behavioural disturbance?
