The Opportunity
An Exciting opportunity exist within Paediatric Medicine to join us as a Nurse Consultant.
Role Responsibilities:
- Providing clinical leadership to nurses/midwives;
- Coordination and leadership of projects and/or programs that contribute clinical expertise to improve patient/client/service outcomes;
- Work in the clinical environment in collaboration with the duty PED Consultant, nursing team and a variety of Allied Health professionals, the emergency patient and their family / supports.
- Consult with key stakeholders to implement and coordinate a comprehensive statewide plan to ensure effective service delivery and efficient management of children and adolescents with needs.
- Ensure the patient journey is a seamless flow through the PED service and endeavor to prevent delays occurring whist in the service.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
- Registered Nurse and or Midwife with at least 3 years post registration experience.
- Effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet set timelines
- Demonstrated ability in the leadership and facilitation of change management.
- Expert clinical skills in Emergency Nursing
