Ingle Farm East Primary School Canteen
We are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Canteen Manager for our Canteen at Ingle Farm East Primary School.
The Canteen Manager will be employed on a casual basis, 3 days a week at 4 hours per day. You will be employed for 40 weeks per year. You will be working on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Working days can be negotiated to suit the successful candidate.
Scope and Nature of the Position
The Canteen Manager is required to perform the following duties as required:
- Establishing and sustaining productive relationships with staff, students and suppliers
- Financial and operational management of the canteen (operating a till and an online ordering system)
- Maintaining timely and accurate daily cash flow
- Day to day running of the canteen
- Ensuring high standards of providing fresh and healthy homemade food
- Ordering and replenishing stock, checking all supplies against invoices
- Ensuring high standards of cleanliness of canteen and safely storage of chemicals
- Abide by all food handling and food safety rules
- Follow the department’s work health and safety policy
- Creating a menu based on the seasonal produce and following the Right Bite food and drink standards
- You will be expected to meet at least twice per term as part of the Governing Council Canteen Committee, as a Governing Council employee
The Governing Council may also assign you other duties, where reasonable for your position, training and experience.
The successful candidate will be required to serve a probationary period of 3 months.

Hourly rate is $33.24

- High level leadership, operational and financial management skills

- Have a professional approach and strong work ethic
Required Qualifications
- Right Bite Food and Drink supply standards in school
- First Aid qualifications
- Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect Training – education and care training (RRHAN-EC)
- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Food and safety Supervisor certificate
- OHS&W issues related to canteen
- Knowledge of stock control
- Federation of Canteens in Schools Inc (FOCIS) training
