Canteen Staff

Bulleen Templestowe Basketball Club are looking for multiple reliable, organised and community-minded Canteen Staff to work from our two canteen sites providing great service with a smile.

This casual role operates primarily during the VIC school terms but reduced hours are still offered over school holiday periods for those interested. Our canteen sites are open 7 days per week based on seasonal competitions.

Hours: Flexibility to work between 5-20 hours per week to meet the needs of the Club and competition seasons.

Wages are paid in accordance with the Fast-Food Industry Award - Level 1 casual employee.  

Purpose of the Role

To provide an appropriate canteen/kitchen service at all competition days and home games along with other times agreed upon whilst providing support to the Canteen Manager ensuring the efficient operations of the canteen.

• Strong time management, organisational and decision-making abilities
• Honesty, reliability, commitment and good work ethic
• An understanding of health and safety and hygiene in a kitchen environment

Duties & Responsibilities

• Organise and set up the canteen operating environment to ensure it is safe, clean and practical.
• Ensure the canteens are open for business from the commencement of any game day.

Essential Criteria: 

• Current Working with Children Check
• DoFoodSafely Certificate (https://dofoodsafely.health.vic.gov.au/en/)
