Position Grade: Cardiac Technologist Grade 2 (Year 1 - 3)
Salary: $98,154.97 to $108,607.90 (pro rata) base salary per annum

About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team leading our approach to the provision of quality care to clients of the Cardiology Department. We are seeking a highly motivated Cardiac Technologist with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive team. The role of the Cardiac Technologist will be able to complete the following:
Recording of transthoracic echocardiographic studies (M-mode, 2D, colour and Doppler) on inpatients and outpatients with digital recordings and provision of a typed technician’s report in the format determined by the Director of Echocardiography from time to time. Recording of Stress Echocardiograms (treadmill and dobutamine).
Technical assistance for doctors performing transoesophageal echocardiography (TOE)
Maintenance of the equipment and supplies for the Echocardiography Department.
Participate in regular performance indicator reviews.

The successful applicant will be expected to be able to work part-time Tuesday to Friday 08:30 -17:00.

Selection Criteria:
1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia
2. Fully qualified Sonographer who has attained a Post Graduate Degree in Sonography (or qualifications or competencies deemed equivalent) and performs Cardiac Sonography or Electrophysiological Studies (EPS).
3. Registered with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR).
4. Demonstrated experience in performing Cardiac Sonography and Stress Echocardiography.
5. Demonstrated ability to provide the highest quality imaging and patient care.
6. Demonstrated high level interpersonal, communication and organisational skills with the ability to work both independently and as a team member.
7. Demonstrated flexibility, ensuring that work is clinically prioritised to effectively meet deadlines with attention to detail.
8. Understanding of and commitment to the principles of EEO, WH&S, cultural diversity and ethical practice.
