Care Manager

Columbia Aged Care is located in Oberon; a beautiful regional town.  As the only aged care facility, we are committed to providing high-quality care and support to local residents. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Care Services Manager to provide clinical leadership and oversight and help us to continue to deliver exceptional care.

Oberon Village is home to 70 Residents. We have Registered Nurses 24x7 who provide quality care to the residents in partnership with Registered Nurses, Assistants in Nursing, Recreational Officers, Catering, Laundry and Maintenance staff.

Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing and care staff in accordance with Columbia policies and procedures and the Residential Aged Care Standards 
• Manage all aspects of clinical care, including assessments, care planning and ongoing evaluation of client care to ensure individual needs of clients are met and the quality of life for the resident is optimised
• Liaising with residents, families and other health professionals
• Monitoring clinical risks and contributing to continuous improvement strategies
• Promote staff awareness of all professional and legal requirements affecting their roles and monitor compliance
• Provide clinical and managerial leadership, mentoring and supervision to nursing and care staff to promote a harmonious team approach to ensure the delivery of high quality resident care

Skills and Experience:

• Current registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia 
• Experience as a Clinical Lead / Care Manager / Clinical Care Manager highly desirable
• Ability to lead and support a multi-disciplinary team 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience managing day to day clinical issues
• Demonstrated knowledge of all regulatory requirements related to Aged Care
• Demonstrated active participation in and knowledge of the Aged Care Accreditation system
• Demonstrated ability and experience in applying sound clinical knowledge and awareness, using holistic nursing processes
• Current Police Check
• Working Rights in Australia

Finally, we are looking for a Care Services Manager who is compassionate and can work with us to promote positive ageing. This means understanding residents needs and desires, and being committed to providing them with the highest quality of care.
