ABOUT THE POSITION
We are in search of accomplished and motivated Care Services Workers to join our foundation team at our newly established Care Hub within The Verge at Burleigh Retirement Village. We have multiple exciting opportunities to join our team on a permanent part time basis.
Our magnificent community overlooks the picturesque Burleigh Golf Course. Located within the third stage of The Verge at Burleigh Retirement Village, the Care Hub is a brand-new facility that provides a genuine alternative to aged care, offering compassionate and person-centred care in a boutique and intimate environment. Catering to a maximum of 10 people at a time, the Care Hub offers 24/7 care, but it is not a traditional nursing home, or a hospital.
In our 24/7 care environment, we are offering morning, afternoon and night duty shifts across the week from Monday to Sunday.
Your primary focus will be to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support services to RetireAustralia’s residents with assessed or identified needs. Through your compassion and understanding of the industry, you will be able to actively listen to our residents and their perspectives to build these relationships. This will allow you to use a holistic approach to meet the specialised needs of our residents.
Led by a dynamic Care Manager, your key responsibilities are:
- Supporting and assisting Home Care recipients with activities of daily living, including mobility continence management, showering, dressing, personal grooming, medication prompting
- Where required, assisting with meal preparation
- Provision of domestic and laundry services to care recipients
- Transporting care recipients to appointments (e.g. medical)
- Social Support and Shopping assistance
Essential Criteria As part of the application process, you will be required to provide a National Police Check, proof of right to work in Australia, participate in pre-employment assessment, verification of identification and qualifications. Additionally, you will have:
- Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support (or equivalent)
- Full Drivers Licence, Comprehensive Insurance and Reliable Transport
- National Police Check (or ability to obtain)
- First Aid & CPR Certificate (or ability to obtain)
- Prepared to undertake a pre-employment medical assessment including Drug and Alcohol Testing
