The Opportunity
We are a one stop shop for careers, training and employment advice and assistance. Our services are free and accessible to all members of the community. We have centres located on TAFE campuses and additional locations in the South West region.
We provide professional and practical advice on training and employment opportunities for employers and business as well as specialist support services for Aboriginal people, ex-offenders and people from a culturally or linguistically diverse background.
Our team is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Career Development Officer for 22.5 hours per week to join our Jobs & Skills Centre team located at Manjimup TAFE.
The successful candidate will provide Career Development counselling and employability opportunities through education and training. This is a parttime ongoing role with flexible, family friendly working hours. We are looking for someone to commence as soon as possible.

About You
You will possess excellent communication, computer, and interpersonal skills, be self-motivated and have the ability to work autonomously with good time management. You will have demonstrated work experience in being able to help clients develop resumes, cover letters, assist with interview techniques and job search skills. You will have the ability to work with a diverse cohort.
Essential Criteria
- A relevant qualification (Certificate IV in Employment and Career Development) and/or willing to enrol in or be undertaking a qualification.
- A current, valid Western Australian C Class Driver’s Licence.
- A current, valid Working with Children Check or the ability to provide one.
- Current National Police Certificate (not older than 3 months) or ability to provide one.
- Ability to work competently with the Microsoft office suite of programs.
- Ability to work cooperatively and effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to work with people from diverse cultures, and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work autonomously.
