About the Role…
The primary purpose of this position is to provide career advice to current and potential apprentices thereby improving the retention rates for Australian Apprentices. In addition, recommend the right training, employment, upskilling or development pathways for the individual – either pre-apprenticeship, pre-vocational, VET qualification, apprenticeship, traineeship, soft skill development or support through other service providers.
This role is full time, fixed term for 2 years with possibility of extension, based anywhere in NSW with the ability to travel when required throughout the state.

A bit about you...
- Certificate IV in Career Development highly regarded; or prepared to undertake the qualification within one year of employment
- Experience in career development or employment services preferred
- Proven experience in communicating with a broad range of groups and individuals, and in particular, young people; mature aged people; people with a disability; culturally and linguistically diverse people; people with a poor employment history; people undergoing hardship; Indigenous Australians etc
- Must be able to contribute appropriately to a multi-disciplinary team approach;
- Ability to obtain a Working With Children Check and National Police Check
