The role and you:
- Be responsible for providing direct care, support and assistance to residents;
- Encourage and promote the activities program for residents;
- Assist residents to communicate to ensure that the rights, interests and needs of resident’s are met;
- Respond to resident’s requests for personal care and other assistance;
- Maintain resident records and information, utilising relevant systems and in line with specified policies and procedures;
- Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe homelike environment for the resident;
- Encourage and promote the independence and freedom of choice of residents.
About the Facilities:
Our Air Force Memorial Estate is set on 11 hectares of prime land in Bull Creek with landscaped gardens, beautiful parklands, and a picturesque lake. It is home to our two Residential Care Centres, Alice Ross King Care Centre and Gordon Lodge.
We would love for you to join our Alice Ross-King Care Centreas a Carer. This is a new, 102 bed, Residential Care Centre located on the banks of Lake Howard at RAAFA's AFME retirement village in Bull Creek. Alice Ross-King Care Centre offers a combination of the highest standards of individualised care, and we want you to join our team.
Or join us at our Gordon Lodge. Gordon Lodge is a newly refurbished 62 bed Residential Care Centre located in the heart of AFME village in Bull Creek. The lodge offers permanent, respite and secure dementia care. Gordon Lodge has 51 single rooms with en-suites and a secure 11 bed wing for people living with dementia that has single bedrooms and shared bathrooms.

What you need to do:
- Have Certificate III in Aged Care or similar qualification;
- Update your resume;
- Be eligible to work in Australia;
- Satisfactory National Police Certificate (on commencement of employment to be within six months from date of issue) or willing to obtain one;
