As an Apprentice Carpenter, you will be an integral part of the team, learning and developing to excel and obtain strong foundational skills in the building industry.
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following attributes:
- Genuine passion for woodworking and carpentry.
- Strong work ethic & attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to various carpentry techniques.
- Good hand to eye coordination.
- Physical fitness & ability to lift to 20kg.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Basic knowledge of carpentry tools & materials is a plus.
- A driver’s license: access to a vehicle is preferred but not required.
- A White Card: WPA can assist in obtaining.
Your responsibilities in this role would include:
- Assisting experienced carpenters in various construction projects.
- Learn and apply fundamental carpentry techniques, including framing and finishing.
- Become proficient in the use and maintenance of carpentry tools and equipment.
- Develop skills in accurately measuring, cutting, and shaping wood.
- Learn to interpret construction blueprints and follow project specifications.
- Execute carpentry tasks according to design plans.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines on construction sites.
- Participate in safety training programs to ensure a secure work environment.
- Work collaboratively within the team to achieve project goals.
