Why this role matters The Salvation Army (TSA) provides a range of services around the country to support survivors of modern slavery, including the new Additional Referral Pathway program to identify and refer victim-survivors onto the Support for Trafficked People Program (STPP). The Additional Referral Pathway (ARP) will use a collaborative multi-agency approach to reach, screen and assess victim-survivors across Australia for referral to the STPP, while addressing immediate safety and welfare needs through short-term interventions.

The Additional Referral Pathway will be open for service delivery in July 2024. About the role We are seeking a skilled and proactive

Case Manager to deliver screening, assessment, and short-term case management interventions as part of The Salvation Army’s Additional Referral Pathway (ARP) Program to support the journey to recovery for victim-survivors experiencing or escaping modern slavery. Reporting to the Team Leader this is a fixed term (18 months), full-time position based in Redfern, NSW.

Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Award, Level 5. You will successfully Work collaboratively with a person-centred, trauma-informed and holistic approach in a fast-paced service delivery setting to ensure the best outcome for all who seek our assistance.

Offer appropriate and high-quality support to individuals (adults, young people and children) who may have experienced or be at risk of experiencing human trafficking, slavery and slavery-like practices. Complete assessment for indicators of modern slavery, risk assessment and safety planning, short-term case management and referral, with the aim of supporting clients to maintain their safety and access support pathways. Work collaboratively with the ARP team and partner agencies to achieve positive client outcomes and provide a comprehensive client-centred service, including following

No Wrong Door pathways to increase community-based supports for people who may not be eligible for referral into the Support for Trafficked People Program. You will have Degree qualification in social work, welfare, community development or related field OR demonstrated high level of sector knowledge and skills attained through previous appointments, service and study/development. A valid and current NSW Employee

Working with Children Check. A valid NSW Drivers Licence. Experience in the modern slavery/family violence/asylum seeker/refugee and/or migrant support service sector

The ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds The ability to work effectively with people who have experienced violence, abuse and trauma. What we offer
