The Australian Refugee Association Inc. (ARA) is a community-based organisation providing settlement, migration, and other forms of assistance to refugees, migrants and other people of concern.

The Case Manager is responsible for conducting thorough assessments and providing intensive early intervention and response case management to clients from migrant and refugee backgrounds who are at risk of or experiencing domestic and family violence or are in crisis. The aim of the program is to prevent families from facing homelessness by promoting community development and engagement opportunities and providing earlier intervention case management.
The Case Manager will offer comprehensive support, education, and advocacy tailored to meet each client's specific needs and ensure the best possible outcome for each individual through a family-oriented approach. This involves undertaking risk assessments, safety planning, and creating early domestic and family violence intervention pathways for safety and support.
Services are to be delivered in a client-centred and trauma-informed approach.

Significant experience in the provision of case management, early intervention and response in trauma informed practice and previous experience working with people from a CALD background are requirements of the position.
A relevant tertiary degree in Social Work and/or Counselling is a prerequisite, unless the equivalent knowledge has been attained through lesser qualifications and/or significant experience gained from previous appointments.
The successful candidate must have evidence of Australian residency or a current working visa.
