Your OpportunityThe IHRF is a support service supporting families who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness. The service helps to case manage families in short term accommodation with a goal to obtain long term secured housing.
Your key responsibilities will be to:- Undertake initial registrations for clients, including all necessary paperwork and application forms.
- Induct clients into the service including their rights and responsibilities and obtain their consent
- Provide intensive ongoing case management sessions
- Actively advocate for clients with other services and government agencies where necessary
- Assist clients in the process of transition out of the service into independence or other services
- Develop strong relationships with key external stakeholders including other service providers
Requirements for Success- Tertiary Qualification and / or relevant experience in the human services industry.
- Demonstrated experience supporting young people with high and complex needs.
- Knowledge and understanding of Child Protection legislation and child protective concerns.
- Demonstrated crisis, case management, referral, and advocacy skills.
- Demonstrated professional approach to the role including maintaining professional boundaries.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
- The ability to maintain resilience and manage personal development, self-awareness and own wellness
- Current Driver’s Licence and Senior First Aid Certificate
