Role Profile 

Elevate your career with Dufry as a Cash Compliance Officer on a part time basis, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the integrity and compliance of cash handling processes within the organization. This role involves meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of finance and compliance standards. As a Part-Time Cash Compliance Officer on a 6-month fixed term contract, you will be responsible for managing all cash compliance tasks within the organization.

Responsibilities:  

  • Receive, count, and verify cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain the security and integrity of cash in the cash office safe and change safe, ensuring proper storage and handling procedures are followed.
  • Regularly inspect and verify security seals on cash bags and safes, promptly reporting any discrepancies or irregularities.
  • Counting, balancing, and reconciling tour group returned float and commission paid.
  • Ensuring accurate counting, balancing, and reconciliation of all cash pick-ups from tills. 
  • Record and document all cash transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and petty cash disbursements, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Reconcile cash balances with receipts and disbursements, investigating and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and submit daily cash reports, summarizing cash transactions and balances for management review
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements related to cash handling and reporting.
  • Provide courteous and efficient service to internal and external customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to cash transactions.

Experience and Specific Requirements: 

  • Proven experience in cash handling, compliance, or a similar role.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling cash transactions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel for data entry and analysis.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills to interact with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards in the financial industry is advantageous.
