Mackey’s Hotel, located in the heart of Latrobe, is looking for a positive, confident, and passionate qualified Chef for a casual position. With a spacious bistro and a fantastic menu that offers great value and caters to everyone, Mackey’s Hotel presents a great opportunity to showcase your skills.What the role looks like:Working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and under the supervision of the Head Chef, you will be responsible for a variety of culinary tasks, including but not limited to:Food PreparationAssisting with cost managementEnsuring food health and safety complianceGeneral cleaning and maintenanceMenu PlanningAssisting with inventory and orderingSuccessful candidates will have a trade qualification as well as:A passion for food, coupled with a dedication to providing exceptional servicePrevious experience in pub/bistro-style dining (preferred but not essential)Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsEnthusiasm and commitmentThe ability to work under pressure and multitaskReliability and flexibility, with a commitment to working a variety of shifts, including day, night, and weekend shifts.If the position above sounds like what you are looking for, we want to hear from you.
