The Role
We are seeking a disability worker to work with our participants and their primary caregivers, supporting them in reaching their individual goals. Our care team is focused on the participant's key goals when providing assistance with daily living, community support or personal care.
AM, PM and overnight shifts are available.
Locations requiring support - Parafield Gardens, Valley View, Modbury and Morphett Vale.
Key responsibilities
Providing participants with the support they need to develop and maintain independence in all aspects of daily living - including personal care, health, and personal hygiene as well as domestic duties such as meal preparation, light cleaning duties, and other activities associated with daily living. Additionally, you may be required to accompany participants during therapy sessions, medical appointments, and participation in social and community activities and to follow the participant's guidelines in connection with these activities.
In accordance with medical and allied health professionals' instructions, implement key strategies.

- Possess adequate computer, communication, and language abilities to meet the daily reporting needs that are communicated to allied professionals.
Qualifications/clearances - mandatory
- Current Drivers Licence and your own motor vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
- NDIS worker screening -
- Working with Children Check
- Current Police Clearance
- Currently holding a Certificate III or IV Mental Health/Individual Support or equivalent.
- Experience in areas working with disabilities, Mental Health, challenging behaviours.
- Completion of NDIS Modules Orientation, Induction, supporting safe and enjoyable meals, supporting effective communication.
- Current First Aid
- Current CPR
- Current Manual Handling Certificate or willingness to obtain.
- Current Medication Administration or willingness to obtain.
Desirable -
- Training in Mental Health First Aid/Crisis Intervention Training or similar.
