We are currently seeking enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals to work as Casual Library Assistants throughout our Lismore area Libraries. You will be working on an "as needs" basis and the hours will vary depending on the needs of the organisation as well as your availability.
The Team:
RTRL is a library service made up of four regional councils with Lismore City Council being the executive council that oversee and administer the Libraries in the local Government areas of Tweed, Byron Bay, Ballina and Lismore. We are a multi skilled team who want to help our community expand their mind, broaden their horizons and learn new things. Whether it’s finding a great story to read, accessing online services or joining a playgroup, we are here to support our community and provide free services that make life better by responding to community needs and interests.

What you'll need to be successful
- Be Flexible and agile - from time to time you may be required to support more than one department as the need arises and provide support across the organisation.
- Be Interested in helping and supporting the community - you are excited by listening and responding to the communities needs and public inquires (including complaints!)
- Have great communication skills - you will have high level communication skills and the ability to negotiate, motivate, influence and gain cooperation and assistance from a range of stakeholders both internal and external.
- Be Customer Service Driven - you will provide a high level of customer service to manage the expectations of internal and external customers.
