About the opportunity
Southern Cross University’s Faculty of Health is seeking enthusiastic Casual Nursing Academics to provide clinical supervision of our Bachelor of Nursing. This is an exciting opportunity for an industry professional to transition into an academic teaching role. These positions are based at either Gold Coast, Lismore of Coffs Harbour campuses, and offering flexibility in hours, are available on a casual basis for up to 35 hours per week.
Core responsibilities will include:
- Provide supervision for students on Work Integrated Learning (WIL) also known as clinical placement.
- Facilitate and support student learning and development during WIL
- Evaluate student progress during WIL experience
About you
We are seeking interest from Registered Nurses, with at least five years’ postgraduate clinical and/or teaching experience. Teaching qualifications and/or a postgraduate qualification are desirable. Applicants must have current AHPRA registration.
We are seeking practitioners that are passionate about enhancing the graduate outcomes of our future healthcare providers, leading best-practice principles and the best possible health outcomes for our communities.
You will be energetic and infectiously positive about the work you do, and will drive the passion in our students to succeed in their studies and careers. You understand that leadership and management are aspects of education, and be ready to engage with our students and consistently apply assessment standards to ensure the highest possible graduate outcomes.
