An exciting and unique opportunity to join Box Hill Institute as our Health Services Technical and Safety Assistant! This opportunity is a casual role.
The Health Services Technical and Safety Assistant provides Technical and logistical support to all Nursing & Health Courses. This support includes:
• Liaison with industry partners regarding simulation training and equipment including delivery and support for accredited programs, short courses and tailored learning outcomes.
• Warehousing, monitoring and maintenance of consumables and equipment in Nursing, First Aid, Individual Support, Disability, Dental Assisting, Operating Theatre Technician and Health Services Assistance technical support.
• Set-up, conduct and close down of Nursing simulations, clinical skills workshops, laboratories and other practical teaching sessions in Nursing & Health Services.
Your skills and Qualifications:
- Relevant qualification in Nursing and / or a related Health Service
- A Level 2 First Aid qualification or a willingness to undertake this training
Logistics and Maintenance – Demonstrated experience in warehousing, equipment and facility maintenance, particularly in an education or clinical setting.
Technical Support – Demonstrated ability to support the set-up, conduct and close down of simulation training, clinical skills workshops, laboratories and other practical teaching sessions.
OH&S - Practical understanding & experience managing OH&S in the health sector.
