Casual Trainer And Assessor - Early Childhood Education And Care

VICSEG New Futures is a not-for-profit community organization that is committed to creating a more inclusive future. Our focus is on building new pathways for refugees, asylum seekers, and migrants in Victoria through skill building and social equity. We have been offering various services to recently settled migrant and refugee families for almost 40 years. In addition to being a registered training organization, VICSEG New Futures delivers community programs and operates four occasional care centres.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Trainer and Assessor in Early Childhood to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and assessment services in accordance with the Australian VET regulatory framework. The role will predominantly involve delivering training in the Northern and Western regions of Melbourne. Saturdays or Remote delivery through MS Teams may be an option based on our student needs. 

• Develop and deliver high-quality training and assessment services in Early Childhood in accordance with the Australian VET regulatory framework.
• Deliver training on Saturdays in the Northern and Western regions of Melbourne.
• Develop and maintain relationships with students, industry stakeholders, and other relevant parties.
• Actively participate in course development and quality improvement activities, including curriculum design, course review, and assessment validation.
• Develop and deliver customized training programs to meet the specific needs of clients and students.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including adherence to training package requirements, assessment policies and procedures, and record-keeping requirements.
• Provide feedback and support to students throughout their training journey.
• Manage the assessment process, including the development and marking of assessments and the provision of timely feedback to students.
• Any other duties assigned by the Training Manager as required.

• Diploma or higher qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40110) or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in the Early Childhood sector.
• Knowledge and understanding of the Australian VET system and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in delivering training and assessment in a face-to-face and/or virtual environment. 
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills. 
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team. 
• A commitment to continuous professional development.
