About You
Are you experienced in leading and supporting staff within the mental health/disability sector or seeking to expand on your current experience by stepping up in a leadership role? If your answer is yes, we may have just the role you are looking for.   
Additional attributes we are looking for include:  

  • Highly organised, with effective interpersonal & communication skills 
  • Ability to problem solve, think on your feet and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to navigate various IT platforms and proven IT and administrative skills
  • An understanding and knowledge of the SCHADS award 
  • Prior experience working in mental health or related field and understanding of behavioural support plans an advantage

It is a requirement of this position to meet all compliance requirements in relation to NDIS Work Screening, Working With Children’s Check, work rights and possess a current & valid driver’s license. 

About the Role
As a Casual Workforce Facilitator you will be responsible for the day-to-day Rostering and supervision of our casual staffing pool who support our complex mental health participants. You will manage your own region, ensuring all client shifts within your region are filled, as well as provide supervision and coaching to the casual staff within your region. You will be responsible for responding to, and following up incidents as they arise on shift; ensuring OH&S protocols are adhered to, escalated where required, and staff are provided the appropriate support and after-care as needed.

We take appropriate actions to ensure that our staff and the people we support are as safe as possible. You will be expected to adhere to all OHS standards, requirements and processes, including (but not limited to) wearing appropriate PPE and regular hygiene and cleanliness practices. 

This role entails:

  • Provide Support to Team Leaders and Practice Leaders as required
  • Participate in our after-hours ‘Incident Hotline’ (IHL), providing support and crisis management for staff on shift, including recording, tracking and reporting to relevant bodies
  • Manage Rostering and shift changes as they arise to ensure client support is provided as necessary
  • Coach support workers to actively seek own solutions through encouraging accountability and problem solving
  • Ensure handover notes are completed on each shift and appropriate information and actions sent to the relevant staff in order for continuity of supports

This is a part-time role. Approx. 30 hours per week. Suitable candidates must be available to work a range of shifts, including availability to participate in IHL after hours. Our shifts are as follows:
Monday to Friday: 7:00am – 3:30pm / 10:30am – 7:00pm
Saturday and Sunday: 9:00am-5:00pm
Incident Hotline: 5:00pm – 9:00am following day

This is a hybrid role, allowing for the successful applicant to be able to work from home, as well as from one of our Victorian offices in either Dandenong South or Geelong.
