The purpose of this role is to drive sustainable category growth by delivering insights and initiatives that connect with consumers, shoppers, and customers. This role will grow and manage our VMS category across Grocery channels which is critical to the ongoing success of our business.
This role will champion category growth - understanding the consumer and category opportunities, and then ensuring we have the right tactics (covering the right range / right layout / right merchandising principles) to execute in our key channels.
Success will require a persuasive blend of highly insightful analytical skills and first-class collaboration - collaboration across channels, across teams and - ultimately - collaboration externally with key customers.

What will you do?
- Driving strategic category management leadership by understanding market dynamics, developing clearly defined category growth drivers and ensuring that our annual plans support this category growth agenda.
- Ensure relevant Channel strategy clearly articulates the strategic priorities for the channel, and driving the strategy-into-action process to ensure the wider commercial team delivers (embedding customer and shopper needs into our ICP process)
- Collaborate with sales and marketing to use in-market data to determine the right assortment per channel / customer - aligning with consumer and customer needs, but also reflecting where we can drive mutual profitable growth (including identifying key portfolio gaps).
- Work with the BEXP to devise and deliver market leading activity with key customers, and aligning them to our category growth agenda
- Maximize the impact of our promotional impact in channel, via promotional guidelines and activity evaluation (course correcting as needed)
- This role will be also managing 1 Category Development Executive and play a strong business partnering role to the Grocery Channel, Planning, Commercial and other related teams within Blackmores
Who are you?
- An individual with extensive category management and development experience within FMCG / CPG industry, either as a senior specialist or people leader
- Able to demonstrate clear understanding of trends, levers and factors affecting category growth
- Thrives in a dynamic and fast paced environment that
- Ability to manage and be involved with multiple ongoing projects that impacts the category and overall business
- A strong communicator who possess analytical skills and business acumen
