Job description

  • Lead the delivery of a customised product range for all Australian communities and owning the range review calendar for Supermarkets and Metro Range Reviews.
  • Play a crucial role in our Tailoring Our Stores strategy, guiding a project management team to achieve goals, ensuring effective management of time, cost, and quality for the Range Curation Program.
  • Oversee and own the range review framework in Commercial, drive continuous improvement initiatives, maintain key relationships, and manage a team to coordinate range reviews in Supermarkets & Metro.

What you’ll do 

  • Lead and empower a team of project managers and a coordinator to deliver upon our Tailoring Our Stores projects and the range review schedule on a program and day-to-day basis, while providing strategic thought leadership for strategic direction
  • Oversight, governance and delivery of a successful Range Curation Program reporting to senior executive stakeholders on the outcomes and health of the program
  • Proactive problem solving at a Program Manager level, influencing outcomes for a smooth execution for our stores and customers while delivering upon the strategic ambition
  • Strong partnership and effective cross-collaboration with various senior stakeholders to shape and influence what we deliver through the range review framework (i.e. Commercial Directors, State Operations)
  • Creating compelling presentations and communicating outcomes of program deliverables 
  • Timely, accurate, and proactive reporting on progress, risks, and roadblocks, including active troubleshooting of problems and challenges across cross-functional teams
  • Identification of process improvements within category management with responsibility including building and embedding into teams
  • Ensuring range review activities are scheduled to minimise disruption to customers and store teams
  • Lead, manage, and drive forward Category Development Schedule process improvement initiatives

Capabilities

  • Demonstrated experience leading multiple streams of work, with a strong preference on project management experience and initiatives delivering high value business results
  • Taking the initiative and ownership on large-scale programs to deliver a meaningful impact and manage change that support our strategic priorities
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills with the ability to influence key personnel and effectively convey complex problems at varying levels of the organisation
  • Clear and high calibre presentation of information (verbal and written) for multiple levels of stakeholders
  • Establishment and maintenance of strong and healthy relationships to cultivate trust in partnerships
  • Ability to develop the right operating framework and cross-functional squad approach across the organisation to land meaningful change in stores for our customers
  • A strong skill set of problem solving (customer & commercial), with the ability to translate abstract concepts into tangible and quantifiable initiatives
     

Career experience

  • Experience delivering projects or products - program lead, delivery lead, scrum master or project manager
  • Agile experience (certification preferred but not essential)
  • Understands the retail industry and commercial processes of Woolworths and Suppliers
  • Understanding of Category Management process
