We are looking for a Category Manager - Power Tools & Hardware, based in our Support Office in Strathpine, Brisbane. In this role you will run a fast-paced, high turnover category, working closely with your Assistant Category Managers and a planner.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Develop a customer focussed category strategy, develop the product range and promotional program that delivers strategic plan & commercial performance
- Manage the optimisation of profitability through effective negotiations and promotional planning
- Maintain effective relationships with domestic Trade Partners and our overseas sourcing team
- Ensure key stakeholders are regularly updated on key communications relevant to the category, including promotional plans, range changes and inventory management
To be successful in this role:
- You will come from a background as a Category or Product Manager, a Buyer or an Account Manager. Previous experience in a tools category will be advantageous, although not critical to the recruitment considerations
- You will possess strong understanding of commercial acumen within the category management field.
- Demonstrated experience in working in a fast paced, agile environment, with shifting priorities
- Excellent communicator and strong negotiation skills
- You will have demonstrated experience working in an Omni-Channel Retailer - preferred
- You are experienced working in a cross-functional environment
- We use SAP and BW, experience with these systems would be highly advantageous
