Our client, a successful and expanding mining services organisation is actively sourcing for a Category Manager to join their team with immediate effect.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor performance of suppliers and ensure contractual obligations and key performance indicators are met
- Initiate tender process
- Research and evaluate vendors
- Implement and maintain policies and procedures to reduce costs and increase procurement control across the business
- Maintain efficient and cost effective procurement program
- Assist with work flow processes and improvement
- Recommend, liaise and set guidelines for internal and external stakeholders
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal/external stakeholders and suppliers
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Category Manager
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- Strong commercial acumen
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build a strong rapport with internal and external stakeholders
