What will I contribute?
This role is responsible for monitoring and managing our incoming produce supplies in our Convenience category, identifying allocation requirements per customer to ensure deliverables on the Category’s supply and Business objectives are achieved.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
Category Supply Planning:
- Act as the daily interface between Perfection Fresh and suppliers, fostering strong partnerships.
- Develop strategies to improve service, inventory management, risk mitigation, and efficiency.
- Support Category Plan implementation for supply volumes, quality, regional risk management, and customer requirements.
Sales Growth Support:
- Assist Sales Manager in driving sales growth and successful product launches.
- Manage customer relationships, develop customer management plans, and plan supply for promotions.
- Support Sales and Marketing Manager in managing marketing/promotional plans and budgets.
Medium/Long Term Supply Management:
- Develop and execute medium to long-term supply plans aligned with Sales and Operations Planning.
- Collaborate with Supply Manager to implement long-term supply strategies for growth.
Grower Management:
- Manage weekly supply needs per Growers Scheduled Supply Agreements.
- Ensure adherence to Grower Management protocols and improve grower relationships and performance.
Price Management:
- Maximize sales prices and net gross profit.
- Optimize freight efficiencies and manage impact of production costs/supply constraints.
Team Participation:
- Contribute to supply estimate and Sales and Operations Planning meetings.
- Communicate supply issues promptly and actively participate in team development.
What do I need for the role?
- Minimum qualifications degree/diploma qualified in agriculture, horticulture or similar studies. Demonstrated experience within similar role
- Extensive background in supply and/or sales in the agricultural or horticulture industry
- Essential to have high level verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced consultation, negotiation and highly developed analytical skills is essential
- Ability to build and maintain sound professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
