Your role
The Catering Quality Manager is responsible for all aspects of the catering department and food services operations. The role is pivotal in consistently delivering timely and high-quality meals to meet and exceed residents' individualised needs and preferences.
The kitchen currently produces and delivers approximately 700 meals daily.
The Catering Quality Manager supervises the day-to-day operational efficiencies of the Home's kitchen including Café to deliver food services which comply with the current Legislations and Acts.
The Catering Quality Manager is also responsible for the management of staff of the catering department and purchasing within a negotiated budget.
Your skills & experience
- Trade qualified Certificate in Commercial Cookery - essential
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate - desired
- Tertiary or professional qualifications in management or administration or demonstrated experience in a supervisory role with responsibility for operating within budgetary constraints.
- Exceptional customer service skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-stress environment
- Demonstrated understanding of providing hospitality services to people living in a residential aged care environment
- Ability to organise workload and manage time effectively.
- Maintain resident confidentiality
- Good organisational skills for the recording and maintenance of stock levels and financial transactions
- Ability to manage multiple services within designed budgets
- Regular communication with internal & external customers
- Demonstrated knowledge of legislative requirements relating to an aged care environment – i.e., Food Services Act, Workplace Health and Safety, Aged care standards.
- Ability to supervise a team to optimise staff efficiency and productivity.
- Demonstrated problem solving and conflict management skills.
