We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cattle and Administration Manager for our 7,000ha Mixed Crop and Livestock property.
The right candidate for this position has to have a versatile skillset for cattle, cropping and administration management.
While you are mainly responsible for the livestock and general administration, you must have the ability (or willingness to learn) to operate all late model farm machinery and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Livestock Feed budgeting and moving Cattle within a time controlled grazing system
- Office administration to include invoicing, stock control and payroll
- Monitor animal welfare and implement cattle nutrition Plans
- Identify and optimise production efficiency in all aspects of the day to day operation
- Ensure all cattle processing is according to low stress stock handling principles
- Maintain detailed production documentation and records of all Cropping and livestock activities using our internal farming program
- Liaise with cattle agents and Agronomist for research development and sales
- Liaise with owner both on site and remotely to facilitate day to day activities to ensure efficient and profitable operation
- Stay up to date with the cattle and commodity trends and any arising opportunities for the benefit of business performance
- Overseeing and record keeping of weed and pest control
- Ensure the safety and well-being of your fellow work mates
- General Infrastructure Maintenance
Qualifications:
- Completing the RCS School Certificates or experience for a time controlled grazing system
- Competent in office programs and accounts
- Minimum 3 years of experience on a mixed crop and livestock property
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
