**Position: ** Cattle Reproductive Specialist
**Location: ** Emerald, Qld
**Employment Type: ** Full Time/ Part time
**Requirements: **
- Bachelor of Veterinarian science
- Bull Check & Preg Check or ready to obtain
- Basic experience in reproductive management of cattle herds.
- Proficient in AI, pregnancy testing, Semen collection, ET, and other advanced reproductive technologies/ or willing to learn.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to work closely with producers.
- Commitment to enhancing cattle reproductive health and production.
- Good attitude and willingness to learn
- This role will include travelling to amazing places in our beautiful region

**Responsibilities: **
1. **Herd Health Management: **
- Conduct thorough reproductive examinations and health assessments for cattle herds.
- Design and implement herd-specific reproductive management plans.
- Provide expertise in estrous synchronization and reproductive performance optimization.
2. **Artificial Insemination (AI): **
- Demonstrate proficiency in AI techniques for cattle breeding.
- Evaluate semen quality and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with farm personnel to maximize conception rates.
3. **Semen Testing and Collection: **
- Perform semen evaluations to assess quality, motility, and concentration.
- Collect semen from selected sires for artificial insemination and breeding programs.
- Maintain accurate records of semen collection and usage.
4. **Pregnancy Testing: **
- Perform pregnancy diagnosis using various methods such as rectal palpation, ultrasound, and blood tests.
- Interpret pregnancy test results accurately and communicate findings to cattle owners.
- Develop strategies for managing pregnant cows to ensure optimal health and productivity.
5. **Embryo Transfer (ET) and In Vitro Fertilization (IVF): ** (Not essential)
- Carry out advanced reproductive technologies, including embryo transfer and IVF.
- Monitor and manage donor and recipient animals through the reproductive process.
- Ensure optimal conditions for successful embryo implantation.
