As part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team, you'll play a crucial role in preventing mental illness and behavioral disorders in children, fostering improved educational outcomes from Kindergarten to Year 2.Your responsibilities will include delivering a range of clinical services, from individual interventions to group therapy sessions, all based on evidence-based practices. You'll collaborate closely with schools, parents, carers, and local services to ensure a holistic approach to Mental Health support.The position will be conducting assessments, providing crisis intervention when necessary, and delivering targeted interventions for children with emerging behavioral difficulties. You'll also facilitate parent education programs and provide support and training to school staff in behavior management.By staying up-to-date with current research and best practices, you'll ensure that our interventions are effective and aligned with the latest developments in the field. - You hold a minimum Tertiary Bachelor Degree in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Counselling, or Community Welfare, with three years postgraduate experience in Mental Health. Alternatively, possess a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology with AHPRA endorsement or a Tertiary Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Div. 1 AHPRA registration) with relevant postgrad qualifications and clinical experience.
- You have extensive clinical expertise and specialised knowledge in addressing complex Mental Health needs of young children, families, and carers through individual, group, and parent-focused clinical services.
- You have strong written & verbal communication skills, and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
- You hold a valid NSW Drivers' Licence & a current Working With Children Check (WWCC).
