This is a Level 3 position. However, if there are no appropriate Level 3 applicants, applications from Level 1 and 2 will be considered. The selection criteria reflects the requirements for a Level 3 applicant. Responses from Level 1 or 2 applicants need to demonstrate their level of competence with regard to the same criteria and their ability to work towards Level 3. The expected performance of the incumbent will be commensurate with his/her years of experience and current level at commencement of appointment. The incumbent will work towards meeting the criteria for Level 3.

About the role:
The Mental Health Clinician role is integral to the Tablelands Mental Health Service, which is comprised of multidisciplinary teams that provide specialist Mental Health services to individuals and their families experiencing moderate to severe Mental Health issues. Our successful candidate will hold a degree qualification in Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Psychology or Social Work and will have experience as a Mental Health Clinician.
You will support clients and their families and carers to ensure clinical interventions and service delivery processes are targeted and enable patients to make informed decisions in relation to their health needs. You will be supported in this role through an orientation program, supervision, mentorship, and excellent professional development opportunities which are highly encouraged within the service.
This position is full time; however, part time/job share arrangements may also be considered.

- Registered Nurse
- Counsellor Level 3 - Graduates from the Bachelor of Health Science Mental Health (Djirruwang Program) may be appointed as Mental Health Clinicians.
- Occupational Therapist Level 3
- Psychologist
- Social Worker Level 3

Information for Applicants:
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA).
