Located at Collins Square and part of the Walker Corporation, Collins Square Hospitality Group (CSHG) delivers creative & inspired food and beverage offerings across multiple outlets.. Currently seeking an experienced CDP , Chiara Wine Bar, serves a modern take on European classics.
With an emphasis on local produce you and the team will be taking on this new exciting opportunity at an upcoming Wine Bar. With the support of the Head Chef & Food and Beverage Ops Manager you will assist in the training of junior kitchen staff, lead the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence and be able to successfully manage busy services and events.
Qualifications & experience
- Training will be provided to the right candidate however, would prefer someone with more than 2~3 years of kitchen experience in a busy environment and understand the general flow of the kitchen operation
Tasks & responsibilities
- Day to day preparation for service
- High level of attention to details with food preparation, cleaning and maintaining hygiene in the kitchen
- Receiving and storing supplies
- Understand and follow recipes
- Awareness of stock to minimize wastage
- Maintaining Cost of Goods with guidance of Head Chef
- Able to work and learn quickly to help assist flow of the kitchen and service.
- Assist in ordering and stock control
- Great understanding of the modern style of cooking to help further develop dining experience at Chiara
