The Opportunity
On the University of Queensland Electrical Maintenance Contract, UGL is the lead contractor for preventative and corrective maintenance, and project work on various UQ sites throughout QLD. Based at UQ’s St Lucia campus, you get to work at state-of-the-art facilities including; domestic buildings, industrial workshops, commercial offices.
We are seeking an experienced CEC accredited Electrician for a new role to support our growing scope of works. You carry out preventative maintenance and correctives of UQ’s rooftop Solar system to maximize efficiency, including;
  • Install, maintain, and repair solar panels, Inverters and associated electrical components.
  • Ensure that all work complies with relevant safety and industry standards.
  • Keep accurate records of work completed and materials used.
  • Flexibility to undertake a variety of different tasks.
  • Promotes positive relationships with our stakeholders and the community.
  • Stay up to date with industry developments and best practices.
About You:
  • Demonstrated experience as a Solar Electrician in a similar role, on large commercial sites or solar farm.
  • Knowledge of solar energy systems, components, and best installation practices.
  • Proven commitment to promoting safety, quality, and environment compliance on site.
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • CEC Accreditation
  • Construction White Card
  • CPR/LV
  • HRWL: EWP, Working at Heights
