About the role

As an Administration Support Officer working within Water and Sewer, you will provide administrative support to Section Managers including document creation and management, database updates and review, customer support, assisting with the organisation and documentation of meetings, and electronic document management.

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

Key duties of the role:

  • Effectively and efficiently perform administrative duties associated with Council's registers and databases including Oracle ERP, corporate records, Works Management Systems, Asset Management Systems, Safety Management Systems and procurement systems
  • Ensure all Central Coast Council’s policies and procedures are adhered to, including relevant legislations
  • Prepare systematic and ad-hoc reporting as required to support management regarding KPIs, legislative, regulatory, financial and operational requirements
  • Provide efficient administration services to effectively coordinate professional and technical staff within and across Water and Sewer teams
  • Assisting in the onboarding of new staff and familiarisation to the business
  • Understand the team objectives and respond proactively to changing circumstances and adjust plans and schedules when necessary

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Certificate III in Office Administration or related field OR demonstrated equivalent qualifications
  • Experience in a similar manager support role in a large sized organisation
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of Microsoft programs, electronic record management systems, asset management systems and other computer-based systems
  • Proven experience in customer service providing a high level of administrative support, multitasking and the ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels
  • High level of accuracy with a focus on attention to detail
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of budgets

Other important information

  • The salary range for this position sits between $63.6k - $76.4k + superannuation
  • This is a Permanent full-time
  • This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight.
  • We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role. 

Council will be creating an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this eligibility list to fill other permanent or temporary vacancies.
