Our centre is 50-placed long day care conveniently located at Westfield Eastgardens.
The position is 38 hours per week (5 days), working alongside the Operation Manager and educators to support the education and care of children aged 0-6 years. You will need confidence with computer skills and administration tasks, using programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and other software.
Our centre operates from 7:30am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday. It has an excellent reputation in the local community for its low staff turnover and quality trained staff.
What you'll do
- Provide accurate and timely information and customer service in a professional manner
- Develop positive relationships with staff, children, families and other stakeholders
- Responsible for a variety of processes including but not limited to, email management, processing direct debit fee charges, issuing statements and invoices, petty cash, data entry, managing OWNA, reporting, processing funding applications, and recording and maintaining enrolment and attendance records
- Provide administrative support to a range of internal and external stakeholders, including filing, updating records, ordering resources, food and consumables supplies, archiving records, answering phone calls, IT support
- Working with the Operation Manager to enrol new families including waitlist maintenance, making verbal offers, and conducting centre tours
- Maintain and ensure confidentiality at all times when exchanging information with families and staff
- Perform any other duties as requested by your manager consistent with the position
Who you are
- Previous administrative experience, desirably in a childcare or community setting
- Have childcare qualifications (preferrably)
- Cleared Working with Children's Check (NSW)
- Knowledge of the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) and processes to assist families with payment of fees (desirable)
- Demonstrated administration, organisational and time management skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in an accurate and timely manner
- Demonstrated numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail
- Well-developed computer skills that include accounting/finance system knowledge
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Effective relationship building and interpersonal skills with a customer orientated focus
