Our largest Sports, Aquatic and Community Centre at Victoria Point (Eastern Suburbs / Bay Region) is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Centre Manager on a Full-Time basis to manage this diverse Fitness, Gymnastics and Aquatic facility.
The responsibilities of this position include:
- Operational Management
- Financial Management (budgeting, financial reporting and cash control)
- Public Relations and Marketing
- Quality Assurance and Customer Service
- Risk Management
- Performance Monitoring.
- Pool operations
- Strategic and Business Planning
- Community Liaison
- Program Growth and Development
- Involvement in the YMCA Network
- Research and Development
The successful candidate will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in business or leisure/sports management or a related field
- Proven track record (Minimum of 5 years’ experience) in operating an Aquatic and Health and Fitness facility
- Strong administration and organisational skills
- Industry experienced in all facets of staff management, financial management, marketing, risk management and program and service development
- Excellent customer service skills
- Current driver’s license
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate
- Pool operators Certificate – Desirable (Willing to obtain)
- Ability to work with a minimum of supervision and work to deadlines
- Willing and able to work flexible hours as determined by the business and requirements of the Centre
We are also looking for the Centre Manager who is:

- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
