Located in a serene natural setting with resident koalas, our 4 room centre prides itself on its warm community feel and commitment to providing exceptional early childhood education.
We are currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Centre Manager to lead our team and uphold our commitment to excellence in early childhood education. As the Centre Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day operations, ensuring a high standard of care and education are maintained.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations in conjunction with KAL Management
- Passionate about developing strong relationships with the centre team, families and children.
- Ensure the centre operates within policies and procedures along with licencing and legislation requirements
- Excellent phone etiquette
- Enrolment and Orientation management
- Administering accounts and payment options
- Friendly point of contact for families
- Work with qualified Centre staff to develop an appropriate and age relevant curriculum that complies with state and federal requirements
- Promote team building and a good working morale
- Be an ambassador for workplace values and culture
- Develop a strong presence in the local community
- Recruitment and training of Educators
Must be able to demonstrate:
- Strong leadership and knowledge In Early Childhood
- At least 2 years previous experience as a 2IC or Centre Manager
- Ability to create strong and supportive relationships with families and the local community
- Confidentiality and discretion
- High level computer literacy
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Time management skills
- Initiative and creativity
- Confidence in initiating new practices across the Centre
- Excellent working knowledge of EYLF and NQF
- Competence in all areas of Child Care compliance, legislation, and WH&S
- Knowledge of local, state and federal laws regarding safety requirements, inspection and certification procedures
Criteria
- Must have a Diploma, or have an approved qualification accepted by ACECQA.
- Must have current Blue Card
- Must have First Aid (or willing to obtain)
- Must have current Police Check (National Police Certificate) dated no less than 6 months (or willing to apply for one prior to commencement)
