We are looking for an experienced and passionate individual to join our Registered Training Organisation, Australian Institute of Training Solutions (AITS), as a Trainer and Assessor in Perth, WA, on a casual basis.

About the opportunity
As a Trainer & Assessor, you will be responsible for delivering CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support, in Perth WA. This course will be delivered on an ongoing basis.
AITS supports Trainers and Assessors with professional development, all training materials and compliance requirements, and are committed to on-going development.
Essential skills and qualifications include:
- CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing or Disability). Please note CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support or CHC43121 Certificate IV in Disability Support will be highly regarded.
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent (TAE40110 plus TAELLN411 and TAEASS502.
- Minimum 3+ years relevant experience in the aged care and disability sector
- Undertaking annual professional development in the field of learning and assessment.
- RTO experience in training and assessment will be highly regarded
- Participating in industry relevant professional development activities.
- Being self-motivated, punctual, reliable and well-presented.
- A valid National Police Clearance
- A current Working with Children Check
- Proof of right to work in Australia
The successful applicant will be required to undertake a pre-employment medical, inclusive of drug testing and to provide two professional references as part of the background screening.
Key tasks and responsibilities include:
- Delivering engaging and educational training sessions to learners in an environment, ensuring a stimulating learning experience.
- Assessing learner competencies through theoretical and practical assessments, maintaining high standards of care and professionalism.
- Providing consistent guidance and support to learners.
- Developing, reviewing, and updating training materials and resources to ensure compliance with current industry practices and standards.
- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive records of learner progress, attendance, and assessment outcomes.
- Ensuring adherence to relevant industry regulations and quality standards in all training and assessment activities.
- Demonstrating resilience and interpersonal skills to engage with a mixed cohort of learners.
- Completing annual professional development.
