Role Description:
The Change Director will play a lead role in supporting a business transformation agenda on the way they work - primarily supporting their teaching and support staff transition to a vertical, digitally enabled Cloud Campus
Responsibilities include:
- Lead a small team to successfully deliver the change management program to support the institute's transition to the new vertical campus
- Be a change champion - driving continuous improvement and mobilise and embed functional, consistent and cultural change
- Lead the establishment of the change management program
- Be responsible for the development, management and continuous improvement of the change management practices - including methods and processes
- Develop a clear vision for the desired future state and a change management strategy to achieve it
- Analyse the need for change, including thorough stakeholder analyses, assessing current processes and use this data to inform an effective and appropriate transformation approach
- Ensure stakeholders are engaged, informed and supported throughout the change process
- Develop and implement a communications plan
- Develop clear and concise communication materials to effectively convey the purpose, benefits and progress of the change initiatives
- Identify training and development needs and opportunities
- Identify potential risks and barriers to change and develop mitigation strategies
- Be responsible for the smooth execution of change initiatives, including monitoring progress, evaluating the effectiveness of change strategies
- Lead the union engagement to support the transformation activities
- Prepare and deliver high-quality advice and written material to the Board, Executive team, Project Board/s and ACT Government Ministers etc
- Minimum of 5 years experience in change management with relevant knowledge and understanding of change management practices in complex organisations
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- Knowledge of the vocational education sector would be highly advantageous but not essential
- Knowledge and experience in the application of change management principles, methodologies, and best practices is essential
- Knowledge of change management frameworks, tools and techniques to effectively plan, execute and monitor change initiatives within an organisation
- Strong leadership and influencing skills to inspire and motivate others, as well as the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders to embrace change and actively participate in the change process
- Demonstrated high level representational, verbal and written communication skills are vital to convey the purpose, benefits, and impacts of change to stakeholders of all levels
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders and effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of the organisation
- The ability to identify, analyse and prioritise stakeholders is crucial
