Form of workVectiq are looking for TSPV cleared IT Change Managers to work as part of a collaborative and highly motivated team within a Federal Government department in Canberra.
About the role
The IT Change Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire change management process within the organization's IT environment. This includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating changes to IT systems, applications, hardware, software, and infrastructure. The Change Manager works closely with various stakeholders to ensure that changes are properly documented, approved, communicated, and executed in accordance with established policies, procedures, and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Change Management Process: Develop, implement, and continuously improve the organization's IT change management process, including procedures, workflows, and tools.
- Change Assessment: Evaluate proposed changes to determine their impact on IT systems, services, and stakeholders, as well as potential risks and benefits.
- Change Coordination: Coordinate the execution of approved changes, working closely with IT teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to minimize disruption to business operations.
- Communication and Training: Communicate with stakeholders about upcoming changes, including their purpose, scope, and potential impacts. Provide training and support as needed to ensure that users are prepared for changes.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with changes, such as service disruptions, data loss, security vulnerabilities, and regulatory compliance issues.
- Change Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented changes, gathering feedback from stakeholders and identifying areas for improvement.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to change management. Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the organization's change management capabilities.
