About the role;
The Change Specialist works in collaboration with the Enterprise Change team and the broader business to create great change experiences for our people and customers by minimising impact and maximising adoption.
Reporting to the Enterprise Change Lead, this role will autonomously lead their own portfolio of projects, providing end to end change management leadership and advisory to leaders, project teams and squads.
This role promises variety in the types of change you will have an opportunity to work on, including technology or system changes, process optimisation, operating model, regulatory change, and BAU operational changes – there is never a dull moment, with lots of opportunities for hands on experiences on a variety of projects.
The Enterprise Change team is on its own journey to grow the maturity of Change across the organisation. In addition to leading the change on your own projects, the role will collaborate with the Enterprise Change team to grow change capability across the organisation. This includes enterprise change portfolio planning using our Single View of Change, developing and rolling out capability programs for both initiative owners and leaders, and the development of ways of working, processes, tools and resources to support maturing how we do change at P&N Group.
Working as part of an inclusive and collaborative team your key responsibilities will include:
- Act as the change manager across multiple projects, owning the change management approach and strategy
- Use a structured methodology to deliver end-to-end change management for initiatives across the business. This may include key activities such as stakeholder engagement, key message development, stakeholder analysis, leadership engagement and alignment, change impact assessments, change plans, training and communications, post Go-Live support, embedding of change
- Provide change advisory to project and business stakeholders
- Contribute to the innovation, design, development and delivery of initiatives that support the uplift of change maturity across the organisation
- In collaboration with the ECM team, design, develop and deliver change capability uplift programs across the organisation
- Support with enterprise change portfolio planning using our Single View of Change
- Where required, the role may also support in some corporate communication activities
What will you bring?
- 2 years experience in end-to-end change management using a structured methodology, preferably in a retail, customer-facing or service-orientated organisation
- Strong written, visual and verbal communication skills, including the ability to turn the complex into simple
- Ability to create visually engaging communication and training materials
- Experience engaging, advising and influencing stakeholders across multiple levels of leadership
- Strong facilitation skills, including running change impact assessment workshops and capability building sessions
- Confidence and skills in providing change advisory and coaching to project stakeholders and senior business leaders
- Ability to bring fresh ideas and different ways of doing things
- Proactive mindset to complex problem solving – for example the ability to pivot change approaches in changing environments, managing complex stakeholders, or balancing competing business and project needs
- Experience in both waterfall and agile ways of working (desirable)
