The Role
The position is ideally suited to someone with a strong background of sales (min 2-3 years' experience), marketing, agency & distributor management, and project management. The position entails regional travel in WA (4-5 nights per month) focusing on expansion of Agency/Distributor network as well as ensuring safety and compliance with all business partners.
The Elgas WA business has experienced phenomenal growth over the past decade and expected to continue for the next 5-10 years resulting in a number of progression opportunities for someone aspiring to build a career in business.
Additional responsibilities in this role also include:
- Co-ordinate and develop marketing initiatives, both national and local
- Manage and grow major customers in WA Region, includes negotiations for contract re-sign and commission payments, replacing non-performing Agents, growing market share by introducing new Agents
- Ensure customer growth, residential sales volume and gross margin targets as per annual budgets
- Monthly reporting on volume, margin, customer growth, new and lost accounts, agency development, marketing and opposition activity
- Record, manage new leads on CRM and support sales team
- Maintain up to date agent and distributor pricing information, contracts, accounts, safety documentation and training records for the use of service team
- Report all opposition activities, market trends, product developments and price differences to management
- Retention and training of domestic agencies & distributors
- Adhere to OHS and safe working environment
Skills and experience we are looking for:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in field sales is essential
- Previous Customer Service experience and ability to work within regional markets as well as corporate environment
- Experience and ability to function as a hands-on leader and take full accountability of the team
- Past experience in working within a fast paced environment, multi-tasking with a sense of
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written and the ability to communicate, influence and negotiate at all levels
