The Opportunity…
Reporting into the Australia and New Zealand Marketing Director, you will develop, lead, and execute marketing strategies based on market trends and opportunities. You will manage the Channel Marketing function for the Australian Residential business by ensuring alignment and consistency of branding strategies, channel support, campaigns, and compliance with corporate guidelines.
This will involve:
Strategy and Business Growth
- Lead and manage the Australia Residential Channel Marketing function to prepare and execute a strategic marketing plan.
- Support the Marketing Director to prepare for Long Range Plan (LRP) and Annual Operation Plan (AOP)
- Develop marketing plans in collaboration with Sales and Product Managers to grow and support the channel to optimize volume and profits.
- Define and communicate Allegion and Gainsborough value propositions to end-users and targeted markets.
- Prepare annual marketing budget and ensure annual marketing expenses are managed within budget.
Leadership
- Provide leadership and guidance to the Marketing Executive (direct report) and the wider Australian Marketing Team.
Business and Market Analysis
- Analyse market and technology trends, customer needs, current market conditions and competitor information to develop appropriate strategies.
Marketing Communications
- Provide guidance to Content Marketing Team responsible for creating editorial content and creative services to support residential channel lead initiatives.
- Support the implementation of channel specification communications campaigns.
Sales Strategy Support
- Understand external customer needs and business operations and lead tailored marketing services which meet their requirements.
- Oversee and provide guidance to the Content Marketing Team responsible for creating marketing and sales promotion materials, displays and training which support branding and promotional strategies.
- Project manage conferences and other trade events that promote the company’s products and services (e.g., trade shows, golf days and industry events).
- Work with ANZ Marketing Director and product management to lead marketing strategies that support the launch of new products/brands and provide guidance to Content Marketing Team responsible for creating and distributing marketing communications, support collateral, displays and digital assets.
Customer Support
- Support the implementation of customer satisfaction surveys, analyse results, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Be a strong advocate for customers and support other managers to transform Allegion into a world class customer intimate organisation.
What we hope you bring to the table…
- 5+ years’ experience leading a marketing function.
- Experience managing a team.
- Product and industry knowledge within the building industry is advantageous.
- Strong technical abilities and aptitude for mechanical and electronic products
- Experience with CRM systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Excellent planning, project management and time management skills.
- Collaborative and personable with the ability to build rapport at all levels.
- Excellent verbal and written presentation and communication skills
- Ethical in all aspects of business, highly reliable and leads by example.
