Chapter Lead - Data
An exciting opportunity for an Engineering Lead (Chapter Lead - Data) to join our Data Tribe team at ING Australia . Reporting to the IT Area Lead , you'll play a key role in the continual advancement of our engineering mastery and practices such as Agile and Continuous Delivery but also remain highly aware of industry trends and bring the best of the global engineering practices to ING.
Be a part of a supportive and dynamic team, delivering innovative products, which are at the forefront of digital banking in Australia. Lead the software engineering technologies to create new features and improvements throughout our technology stack.
The successful candidate will at time function in one of our Squads and work in a crosscutting role driving advancement in our engineering practices. You'll lead by example and coach others to develop and automate the testing of robust, adaptable code that is always production-ready.
What you'll do
Work along the full lifecycle of software engineering from idea to work production.
Provide ETL solutions that support Business Information requirements in Informatica.
Design and develop ETL processes using Informatica to ING's standards.
Improve system performance by maintaining and tuning the DWH databases.
Regular coaching and mentoring other engineers and chapter members to increase their capability.
Lead the adoption of Agile / Scrum practices, methodologies and attitudes.
What we're looking for
Strong knowledge in Informatica Power Center and related products.
Experience creating data integration solutions.
Advanced knowledge of modern data application and Data warehouse modelling techniques (Kimball or Inmon).
Experience in relational database, preferably MS SQL server.
Proficient communication skills that ensure ability to influence and educate non-technical staff.
Experience in Azure Cloud, ADLS2, Purview, Azure Machine Learning, AKS and/or Kafka is highly desirable.
Experience in Big data, SAS Enterprise, Qlink or Tableau is desirable.
Demonstrated experience in end-to-end BI project Delivery/ data warehousing or related function within agile organisations.
People leadership experience with proven ability to lead personal and technical development.
